Psalm 2:1-2

1 Why do the nations rage
    and the peoples plot in vain?
The kings of the earth set themselves,
    
and the rulers take counsel together,
    against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying,

• How could David write about Jesus long before Jesus was even born?

• To plot against someone means that you plan to do something bad to them. What did the religious rulers plot against Jesus?

• David describes people who rage or get angry and plot to kill Jesus in this psalm. How is their sin like the sin Cain committed against his brother?

Ask God to help you love the Lord and live for him like David did.
