Psalm 22:17-18
17 I can count all my bones—
they stare and gloat over me;
18 they divide my garments among them,
and for my clothing they cast lots.
Talk about it:
How does this passage help us know that even the smallest details surrounding the crucifixion were a part of God’s plan? (There is no way David, who wrote this Psalm, could have guessed that Jesus’ clothing would be both divided and taken by the casting of lots. The only way David could write that was if God planned it all the way and then had David write about what was going to happen.)
